RED TILAPIA

Tilapia, a hardy fish known for its short 6-month cultivation period and high productivity rates, is widely farmed in countries like Malaysia, India, and Thailand. Red tilapia, a genetic variant first developed in Taiwan in the 1960s, has gained popularity due to its distinctive color and robust growth. However, intense fish farming, particularly for red hybrid tilapia, has led to issues like low immunity and poor growth.

To address these challenges, feed additives, particularly those with immunostimulant properties, have been introduced. EVMarineGro, a supplement derived from non-GMO Malaysian palm fruit, provides a natural source of powerful antioxidants and vitamins that can boost fish health and growth. Composed of mixed carotenes, vitamin E (including tocotrienols and alpha-tocopherol), phytosterols, and palm fatty acids, EVMarineGro has been shown to improve growth performance and survival rates. It also contains beta-carotene, which enhances the orange-red hue in fish and improves intestinal digestive enzymes, while lycopene and tocotrienol offer potent antioxidant benefits, protecting against oxidative stress and tissue damage. These qualities make EVMarineGro an essential addition to aquafeed, promoting the health, growth, and reproduction of tilapia and other aquaculture species.

Control Group

EVMarineGro Group

Fish Stage: Fries

Results:

  • 33% increase in weight

  • 25% bigger in size

  • FCR reduced by 25%

  • survival rate increased to more than 90% even with higher stocking density

  • no difference in level of ammonia and dissolved oxygen levels between standard feed and EVMarineGro supplemented feed. No deterioration in water quality

  • Improved growth rate

    in 45 days

  • Reduced FCR by 10%

FEEDBACK FROM FARM PIC

The only significant is the fish appetite is better with EVMarineGro. Fries look hungry and finish the feed faster than control group. Tilapia mortality normally due to ammonia/nitrate contamination or low O2. To avoid this, the water change was made weekly, and aerator was function 24hrs for 45days.

VERBAL FEEDBACK FROM FARMER

I am pleased to inform you that we have some delightful news for you regarding our use of your company’s supplement, EVMarineGro. We’ve tested it out on 5000 pieces of our tilapias (red tilapia), which are about half an inch (1.25 cm) in length and observed some remarkable results. After a period of about 10 days, the fish have grown up to a full inch in size and not one fish has died or fell into an ill state within that period. On top of that, all the fish remain healthy and active, with good quality and optimal levels of water and oxygen. We thank you for your service and are looking forward to collaborating with you soon.
